The majority of people I work with are experiencing long-term discomfort, less than satisfying range of motion and they long to live a more vibrant life. They're willing to put in the commitment to time and effort--if they could just figure out what to do. Because we are complex, the answers aren't simple. And I offer a variety of modalities.
For example, when you still hurt or can't move well after surgery, I may suggest sessions of Visceral Manipulation with Aston-Kinetics movement awareness and cues to help you notice how you don't have to move in your old compensating patterns. Massaging in essential oils can help with inflammation.
If you wish you could breathe better, then Visceral Manipulation and inhaling some essential oils may help.
If your belly hurts or you've had parasites, there may be little scars between the organs that I can help the body find and let go of with Visceral Manipulation, and help you learn to use essential oils to feel better. When organs can move freely, they function better.
If you have just had an accident, I may suggest an quick Aston-Patterning technique to help your whole body reset, so your recovery time can be easier and quicker.
If you've had a number injuries, large or small, over a long period of time (and you can insert a surgery or two here), I may suggest we do a series of Aston-Patterning sessions combined with Visceral and Neural Manipulation and all put together with Aston-Kinetics movement to really help your whole body work better. And when the body's happy, everybody's happy!
If you want to look younger naturally, or feel that your face doesn't match your inner spirit, I may suggest some Natural Facelift/Aston-Facial Fitness sessions to receive; and also to learn what you can do to keep your younger, livelier, more "you" expression.
Or if you feel stuck in shock, or grief, I might have you try Aston-Facial Fitness sessions, which were originally designed by Judith Aston to help unstick just this situation.
You can read more about these on their individual pages.
I know this can all be very confusing. But the good news is that you don't have to make the choice by yourself. The next step towards recovery is to set up your assessment with me and we can figure out what's right for you.
And the best news is that when someone recovers freedom of movement, or freedom from discomfort and limitation that they never thought they'd live without, the doors of possibility open and that's just exciting.
"I have had chronic back and nerve pain as an athlete. I have had back surgery for ruptured discs and partial paralysis from my waist down.
Valerie has worked with me on how to walk easier by not putting unnecessary movements on the joints. Valerie knows how to “unwind” old movements into new and healthier ones. I continue to get better.
I cannot say enough about how amazing she is as a body worker, and how she incorporates her amazing oils to help the Mind and body too!"
