Emotional Healing
A little about how we heal

We all have made decisions based on early painful emotions that we didn't have the resources, time and opportunity to heal.
We can make new decisions, take different actions and release old painful emotions. With new, accurate information, good attention from someone who understands that we're fine, and a balance of our own attention--half in the old memory and half being aware that in this moment we are safe, etc., the automatic process of emotional healing will occur.
The way we move our bodies reflects and supports our beliefs. So if we have been afraid of taking up space, for instance, our body posture and movements will reflect this. The same is true if we have felt loved and belonging. You can see it in the way people move. Changing the ways we start movement, or begin to sit will support the "us" that we long to be.
When we haven't had the opportunity to release painful emotions early, our bodies will kindly store them for us to heal at another time. And sometimes, the pathway from body to emotional processing center gets "grown over" and unavailable.
So when the body calls for it, I help reconnect the area (say, the throat, knee or kidney) with the emotional processing center of the brain. It's easy, relaxing and life changing. Cleaning up the energetic components of this tangle makes these techniques even more effective.
**This is not a replacement for therapy. However it can be a helpful adjunct. Talk to your doctor about it.
