Mojo Recovery TherapiesStrategies for relieving chronic physical pain and regaining strength, flexibility, range of motion and vitality after injury or surgery
Sprinkled through my website are comments my clients have given me to share. You'll find more here!
"Otherworldly experience." With the gentlest touch of the visceral manipulation my body immediately responded. A fantastic reminder your body just needs to be coaxed back into balance. Valerie achieved more in that 60min than I could in 3 weeks of trying everything! I left telling her if I could have a session everyday with her I would. You truly feel a better version of yourself. Like anything is possible. And that you are better for knowing her and grateful she has become a part of your life. There are just no words. Exceptional experience. Erin M
"I feel like a different person!!!!!!" I just have to tell you - I have been walking around with this horrific headache and dizziness even while in CO and definitely since worrying that there is something seriously wrong with me. ....Today you worked on my head I feel like a different person!!!!!! SO MUCH RELIEF for my head. OMG what a difference. My headache is so much less as is my dizziness I am still exhausted - but - I don't feel like there is something wrong with me! Thank you, Valerie. Just amazing results. I look forward to next week. Appreciatively kate "My life is so much better!" I have suffered from pain and discomfort for years. Having tried a multitude of treatments that occasionally provided relief, I more often than not fell back into my pain pattern. Thankfully, I discovered Valerie, aka "the body reader". She provides instant pain relief. It doesn't hurt that I am taller too. :) In addition, she has provided me with techniques to incorporate into my daily routine to reinforce her work and re-train my body. I now feel like I have control over the pain instead of the other way around. My life is so much better. I highly recommend Valerie! Mary Hennessey

"I wanted to tell you I feel like I'm feeling better. The whispered promises!! Thank you for the work so far and our continuing journey. XO" Mandy
Success! Mary is an active, high energy retired teacher. She has loved using Aston-Kinetics bodywork and movement education to help her know how to keep her back (she has a little scoliosis) strong and out of pain. This year she is recovering from bunion surgery on her left foot.
The way our weight falls into and through our feet affects everything above them. So Mary’s back and neck (not to mention her left foot) were bugging her both before and after the surgery. She has come in semi-regularly for the last 5 months as she rehabs her toe.
Today’s session was “typical," meaning that it was completely unique to her body’s needs for today. So we started “untangling” the compensatory patterns she’d been using to favor her painful left toe by releasing tension in her right lower leg. Then we could open space in her left leg and foot. This led to releasing fascial tightness deeply around her uterus and liver, and finally into her head, neck and spine. Although I never worked directly on her left great toe joint where the surgery and limited range of movement was, her toe felt great! And her whole body felt and moved with a fluidness and resilience she hadn’t had just an hour before. During and after the hands-on work, Mary took her body for several “test-drives” to bring her attention to what was different and better. This way, she can recognize movement that feels good instead of doing the same old same old.
In the middle of the session she said, “I don’t know what people do after surgery when they can’t do this!" And I answered, “They think they just have to live with the pain."
Help for Children Tristen had surgery as an infant for tethered bowels. After the surgery he still couldn't eat solids easily or often. After our first session he walked up to the snack table at his babysitter and ate a granola bar. His mom and babysitter were amazed. "...Thank you Valerie Lyon. You are at the top of the gift list from Tristan's journey and truly gave Tristan a chance at a comfortable pain free existence! You will be fondly known in our household as Tristan's "My Valerie" I can still hear his 2-3 year old voice from the back seat, on the drive home, saying "I miss my Valerie" over and over after each visit to your office. Not to mention the fact that he could eat food without pain and nausea/vomiting for weeks after each visit. To my friends out there that don't know Valerie, she is a gifted healer and one of her specialties is Visceral Manipulation (VM) and everyone I have ever referred to Valerie has come back feeling amazingly better. Her VM helps with all things tummy or gut related. So I am thankful for this picture this morning that took me to a fearful place this morning and then on this "re-framing" the stressful adventure with Tristan's digestive health into one of Thankfulness."
